Places and Spaces

I think we can sometimes take for granted spaces and places we have access to.
I wonder if you will take some time to reflect about where you are listening to this, right now, in this moment. Currently I am in a space I set up to work: which involves creating, learning, and dreaming. It is a room in my home we call the office. It has our desk, and extra tables with all the devices we need set up.. there is this microphone I record on, which I have decided to call Frank, two extra tables, two shelves with all the books and journals and photos I need right now. There is a lamp next to the window for the evenings when the sun does not provide natural light. In the last two months this has been the space I have created in my home to also invite others to reflect with me. My intention is that I can be heard and known and that I can do the same for others.
How much time, resources, energy, and attention do you give the spaces in your life to reflect?
I remember the first time I became more aware of my own surroundings. My mother left with my sisters and I out of the first space and place I can remember. We left Costa Rica when I was around 4 years old. I became aware of the need to adapt in the new spaces and places we would spend our time in. We first landed in Miami, Florida in the United States. Early memories involving the sights, smells, and sounds are present for me, even now as I share. We moved countless times, I have had to document them before, and to be exact, my family has had 12 addresses. When I was young I recall feeling nervous, excited and curious each time I would be taken to a new place.
So, I want to invite you to reflect on spaces and places you intentionally or unintentionally spend time in, with the same wild-eyed wonder of a child.
Think of the places and spaces you go to rest, cook, eat, work and play.
Where do you connect with yourself? Where do you go to connect with your higher power? Where do you go to connect with others? What are those places and what are those spaces that you are present consciously or unconsciously in?
I feel centered and connected to myself and the world when I visit the ocean, or look up at the clouds, stars, sun or moon in the sky. My favorite place to be is outside because I feel grounded and reminded that I am not alone. I feel an awe for the Creator and His creativity, and His presence.

The ocean & sky meet for golden hour over the horizon in Nicaragua.
What resources, energy, time and attention do you use to create spaces and go to places that help you feel safe, grounded, or connected?
I intend to create safe spaces for healing not only for myself, but others.
I think that many of us need connection. We were created it for connection relationally.
Sometimes we make conscious or unconscious decisions without taking the time and create safe places to process those life-altering decision.
I hope we could all take time to reflect on this.
